Dig In
Researches a question in primary sources and saves the findings.
What it does
Investigate a question against high-trust primary sources and capture the findings as a Markdown file in the repo. Use when the user wants a topic researched, docs or API facts gathered, or reading legwork delegated to a background agent.
Install in under a minute

unzip dig-in.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Windows PowerShell
Expand-Archive dig-in.zip -DestinationPath $HOME\.claude\skills- Start a new Claude Code session so it sees the skill.
- Ask in plain words, for example: "Use Dig In on this project."
- Unzip the download, then zip just the dig-in folder if your computer added an extra folder.
- In Claude.ai, open Settings, then Capabilities, and upload it under Skills.
- Turn the skill on and ask Claude to use it.
Dig In uses the open SKILL.md format, so it also works in agents like Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and Codex. Copy the dig-in folder into that agent's skills folder, for example .cursor/skills/ or .github/skills/ in your project.
